Renju Rules: Mastering Black's Forbidden Moves

In Renju, White has no restrictions and can win by forming any line of 5 or more consecutive stones. However, the active Black player must navigate the board carefully to avoid foul plays. Black is immediately penalized with a loss if they make any of the following forbidden moves:

• Double Three (3-3): Black cannot play a stone that simultaneously creates two open, active three-stone patterns.
• Double Four (4-4): Black cannot play a stone that simultaneously creates two four-stone patterns.
• Overline: Black cannot form an unbroken line of six or more consecutive stones. Any line of 6+ is an instant loss for Black (while for White, it is an immediate victory).
